The Junior League of Las Vegas offering up $50,000 in educational grant money.
This past year, 24 new teachers were selected to receive more than $25,000 in grant funding for their exciting classroom projects or initiatives.
JLLV will award teachers up to $1,500 per grant. Projects must be focused on the history of the City of Las Vegas. The Centennial Education Grants can be used for activities such as field trips, supplies, equipment, honorarium for speakers, or other educational activities as long as all expenses support the overall mission of the grant.
This program has been financed in whole or in part with funding from Las Vegas Centennial specialty license plates and made available by the City of Las Vegas Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial. The Commission’s mission is to preserve and celebrate the history of the city and its people.
In addition, the Junior League of Las Vegas and Cox Communications joined forces again to distribute diversity scholarships to deserving Clark County High School students.
The deadline to apply for both is Friday, September 20, 2019.
