Educational Grants are back!

The Junior League of Las Vegas is offering over $50,000 in educational grant money through two amazing grant opportunities!  Last year, 48 new teachers were selected to receive more than $50,000 in grant funding for their exciting classroom projects or initiatives.

Junior League of Las Vegas Education Grant

For more than 30 years, the Junior League of Las Vegas has funded education grants benefiting students in classrooms throughout the Las Vegas valley. We are honored to help teachers bring to life creative, innovative and essential projects that support classroom curriculum. Middle and high school teachers can earn up to $1,500 and elementary teachers can earn up to $1,000. Teachers may submit application for any creative curriculum that enhances student learning.

Centennial Education Grant

Through funds provided by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, JLLV is awarding grants to K-12 teachers in Las Vegas in support of projects focused on the history of the City of Las Vegas.  The Centennial Education Grants can be used for activities such as field trips, supplies, equipment, honorarium for speakers, or other educational activities as long as all expenses support the overall mission of the grant. Grant requests may not exceed $1,500 for grades K-5 and $2,000 for grades 6-12.

This program has been financed in whole or in part with funding from Las Vegas Centennial specialty license plates and made available by the City of Las Vegas Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial. The Commission’s mission is to preserve and celebrate the history of the city and its people.

The deadline to apply for both grants is Friday, September 20, 2019.
