Fashion Forward 2023 – The Gift of Fashion

The theme for the 2022-2023 event was The Gift of Fashion.
We had more than 250 students from 7 schools participating in the competition at two levels. The Designer students sewed a tote bag project, and the Couture students created doll clothing to determine who were going to advance to Round 2 of Fashion Forward. Finalists made full-sized garments out of navy blue fabric provided by Allegiant Air, trim from Star Costume, and any other necessities purchased with a $30 gift card provided by Junior League of Las Vegas. Students showed off their custom creations on April 29th at Zappos Theater.
On behalf of the Junior League of Las Vegas, teachers, and students we would like to thank our sponsors Allegiant Airlines, Star Costume, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Zappos, and the Las Vegas Fashion Council for supporting Fashion Forward and look forward to seeing you on the runway next year!

Only 68 remained following a challenging elimination round that tasked the young designers with creating a muslin hoodie or button-down shirt to showcase their skills.
