Fashion Forward 2022

Fashion Forward is a unique design challenge for Clark County high school students, patterned after the popular TV show, Project Runway. Fashion Forward aims to enhance the education of local design and fashion students and gives aspiring designers the opportunity to showcase their designs in a public setting.

Fashion Forward 2022 – Reuse. Reimagine. Refashion

Fashion Forward is back after a 2-year pandemic hiatus. The theme for 2021-2022 is Reuse Reimagine Refashion: Creating Fashion Sustainability. We had 373 students from 7 schools participating in Round 1. The Designer students sewed a pencil pouch project, and the Couture students created an up-cycle garment to determine who were going to advance to Round 2 of Fashion Forward. 46 finalists have advanced to Round 2.  The project will culminate in a Fashion Soiree on April 30th, 2022 where the students will showcase their exciting original designs to the community. ♻️
This year’s event has been scaled back from a large scale runway show to a more student-centered soirée. Due to this change in format and spacing limitations, this event will be limited to students and their families.
For those Junior League members who would like to support this year’s Fashion Forward Soirée, we welcome you to sign-up for available volunteer shifts.  For those interested in donating to this event or future events you can do so by clicking Here.
On behalf of the Junior League of Las Vegas, teachers, and students we would like to thank our sponsors Goodwill, The Cosmopolitan Hotel, Allegiant Airlines, and the Las Vegas Fashion Council for supporting Fashion Forward and look forward to seeing you on the runway!

Past Fashion Forward Event

A prior event themed Lights, Camera, Fashion! Our students were given iconic films and musicals as inspiration for their designs and worked diligently all semester to make their one of a kind garment come to life with fabric generously donated by Star Costume and Theatrical Supply.
